AB2 Architecture is a small practice located in Kalamazoo, Michigan, located along I-94 in southwest Michigan, exactly half way between Detroit and Chicago.
For more than eighteen years I co-owned a 10-person architectural firm, specializing in custom residential and commercial projects. The result of that experience is a thorough understanding of what it takes to provide strongly professional, yet highly personal, services for my clients. I learned how to compete with larger firms by staying in the forefront of technology, and have brought that with me to my newest firm, AB2 Architecture, which I established in 2003.
My name is Arnie Bunkley, AIA, owner of AB2. I have been a licensed architect in Michigan for over 35 years. The “AIA” stands for the American Institute of Architects, of which I am a member in good standing. My practice is centered on places in which we live, most often meaning residential architecture, and have written articles about residential design for Builder/Architect Magazine. I've included a couple in my Blog, one which is about about my own home.
